Small space. Big creative range. The Jackie Liebergott Black Box Theatre (JLLB) gives Emerson events and productions a community-driven, flexible home inside the Paramount Center.

Designed to accommodate up to 125 guests, the JLLB features professional lighting and flexible stage and seating configurations, making it an ideal setting for performances, screenings, lectures, panels, and special events. The theatre is named for Jacqueline Liebergott, Emerson’s first female-identifying president, whose visionary leadership from 1992-2011 helped bring the College from Back Bay into the center of the Theater District.

With exposed brick, tall windows, and adaptable seating configurations, the JLLB offers a distinctive backdrop for events of all kinds, from guest speakers and showcases to community gatherings.
