Located in Piano Row, these facilities support everything from varsity competition to everyday wellness, giving students, staff, and faculty opportunities to move, recharge, and connect beyond the classroom.

Home court advantage starts here. The Bobbi Brown and Steven Plofker Gym is where competition, community, and school spirit come together.

Located on the lower level of Piano Row, the Bobbi Brown and Steven Plofker Gym serves as the home court for Emerson Athletics and a gathering place for recreation and intramural sports. Featuring an NCAA regulation-size basketball court and a full volleyball system, the facility hosts varsity competition, pickup games, and campus tournaments throughout the year. Whether you’re taking the court, joining friends for a game, or cheering on the Lions, the gym brings the Emerson community together through movement and teamwork.

Fitness Center

Located in Piano Row, the 13,000-square-foot Fitness Center spans two floors and offers dedicated spaces for cardio, strength training, stretching, yoga, and indoor cycling. Whether you’re fitting in a workout between classes, training for competition, or simply taking time to recharge, you’ll find modern equipment and a welcoming environment designed to support a variety of fitness goals and experience levels.

Membership is free for all students and full-time faculty and staff, and experienced Fitness Center staff members are available to answer questions and help you make the most of the space.
