Life at Emerson

At Emerson, you’ll live and learn in the heart of Boston—across from the nation’s oldest public park and surrounded by theaters, museums, and creative industries. Join one of more than 100 student organizations, explore the city’s vibrant arts scene, or catch a show in the Theater District just blocks away. Opportunities extend beyond Boston, too. Spend a semester in Los Angeles building industry connections and gaining professional experience, or study at Emerson’s campus in the Netherlands—your gateway to exploring Europe.

An Urban Campus

Emerson is an urban college in the heart of Boston, where opportunities to learn, create, and connect are part of everyday life. Our downtown location puts internships, cultural institutions, media organizations, and industry leaders within walking distance of campus. Between classes, you can network with alumni, intern at a local television station, attend a film screening, or gather inspiration for your next creative project. While our residence halls offer a place to live and connect with friends, Boston provides endless opportunities to explore your interests, expand your network, and gain real-world experience. Here, your education extends far beyond campus—and your career can begin before graduation.
