Applying for the Performing Arts Department

Applying to a program in Emerson’s Department of Performing Arts involves three steps that must be completed in order. Your application cannot be reviewed until all three are complete, and each step has its own timeline, so we encourage you to start early. You may only apply for fall admission and to one Emerson program.

Step 1: Apply to Emerson College

Submit your application through the Common Application or Emerson Application. Within 2–3 business days, you’ll receive an email with the subject line “Thank you for applying to Emerson College!” containing your Emerson Admission ID Number. You’ll need this ID number for Step 2. Submitting the wrong number causes processing delays.

Step 2: Submit Your Artistic Application in Acceptd

Complete your Artistic Application and pay the non-refundable $30 fee in Acceptd. The program you select in Acceptd must match the program in your Emerson application.

Fee waivers are available. Please contact admission@emerson.edu for more information on how to request a fee waiver.

Step 3: Schedule and Complete Your Artistic Review

After submitting your Artistic Application, use Acceptd to schedule your audition or interview. In acceptd, navigate to: Schedule ? My Timeslots ? Select Timeslot

Please note: Musical Theatre applicants must first pass a prescreen before they can schedule an audition.

We recommend you schedule your appointment as soon as possible. Slots begin filling up as early as August and waiting until the deadline may severely limit, and possibly eliminate, your scheduling options.
