At Emerson, we support the whole student and we believe that health and wellness are essential to your success. From mental health counseling and medical support to recreation and prevention education, we offer students a variety of resources to help you be your best self academically, creatively, physically, and emotionally.

The Emerson Wellness Center supports students and enhances the learning environment through a range of services and programs. Our staff includes nurse practitioners, a physician assistant, a clinical dietitian, and a health and wellness educator. A supervising physician is also available on call when medically necessary.

Student Accessibility Services

We’re committed to creating an inclusive and supportive campus experience for all students.

Student Accessibility Services works closely with undergraduate and graduate students to coordinate accommodations and support services that provide equitable access to academics, campus programs, and student life—helping every student fully participate and thrive at Emerson.

Let's Eat!

Whether you’re grabbing a coffee between classes, meeting friends for lunch, or picking up dinner after rehearsal, you’ll find plenty of dining options on and around campus. Emerson’s dining locations—including the Dining Center, Lion’s Den, Max Cafe, Paramount Cafe, and Backstage Cafe—offer a variety of meals, snacks, and customizable options to accommodate different tastes and dietary needs.

What sets dining at Emerson apart is the personal approach. Our chefs and dining staff prepare many meals from scratch using quality, and often local, ingredients and are available to meet with you to discuss dietary needs, preferences, and goals. Whether you have food allergies, follow a specific diet, or simply have questions about your options, the dining team is committed to helping you find meals that work for you.

Living and learning in downtown Boston also means you’re surrounded by some of the city’s best food. Explore authentic cuisine in nearby Chinatown, Italian favorites in the North End, and countless restaurants, cafés, and quick-service spots throughout Back Bay and the Theater District. Plus, dozens of local restaurants accept Emerson College Cash (ECCash), giving you even more choices just steps from campus.

Stay Active

Whether you’re looking to work out, join a team, or try something new, Emerson offers plenty of ways to stay active. Explore our fitness facilities and intramural sports programs to find what fits you best.

At Emerson, you’ll find opportunities to explore your beliefs, reflect on life’s big questions, and connect with a supportive community. Whether you practice a particular faith tradition, identify as spiritual, or are simply curious to learn more, the Center for Spiritual Life offers an inclusive environment where students of all faiths, spiritual traditions, and backgrounds can find support, resources, and opportunities for personal growth.

You can participate in meditation and prayer, attend retreats and community gatherings, connect with chaplains and student leaders, or simply find a quiet space for reflection.
