Los Angeles Summer Program
On This Page
Emerson Los Angeles (ELA) offers a residential summer program for up to 40 rising juniors and seniors, combining a professional internship with career development and mentorship opportunities throughout the full summer session.
The Emerson Los Angeles Summer Internship and Professional Development Program may be a great fit if you:
- Want to explore media and entertainment but can’t attend Emerson Los Angeles during the fall or spring semester
- Want to intern in the Hollywood area—even if your major hasn’t traditionally been represented at Emerson Los Angeles.
- Want to extend your time in Los Angeles immediately before or after your regular term at Emerson Los Angeles.
Program Information and Requirements
To be eligible to participate in the Emerson Los Angeles Summer Internship and Professional Development Program, you must be a rising junior or senior with a minimum 2.7 GPA at the start of the summer term.

All summer participants are required to live on campus at Emerson Los Angeles. Gated parking is available for an additional fee. Because ELA does not have an onsite dining hall, a summer meal plan is not available.
