Internships and Career Development
Gain hands-on industry experience while building the professional skills and connections to launch your career. At Emerson Los Angeles, internships are integrated into your academic experience, giving you the opportunity to learn from industry professionals while earning credit toward your degree.
During your semester in Los Angeles, you’ll enroll in the academic internship course for your major, which includes completing a professionally-supervised internship for academic credit. Internships are offered for either four or eight credits and count toward your full-time semester course load (12–16 credits).

For more than 40 years, the program has cultivated relationships with some of the industry’s most influential companies, creating opportunities for students to intern at organizations such as Sony Pictures Entertainment, NBCUniversal, HBO Films, DreamWorks Animation, Live Nation, and more.
