Become a Data-Driven Marketer

Marketing is about understanding people, building meaningful connections, and creating ideas that move organizations forward. Emerson’s Master of Arts in Strategic Marketing combines creativity, analytics, and brand strategy to prepare students for leadership roles in an evolving marketing landscape. You’ll learn how to develop marketing strategies grounded in analytics and data, and meet the needs of today’s audiences and customers.

You’ll build a strong foundation in marketing strategy, consumer behavior, digital communication, research, and analytics, choosing a Strategic Marketing Communication or Digital Marketing track. Elective courses allow you to explore topics such as analytics, culture and ethics, managing marketing investments, and topics courses on emerging trends in marketing and media. Small class sizes and a collaborative environment give you the chance to exchange ideas, learn from faculty with industry and research expertise, and develop the creative and analytical skills needed to navigate a rapidly changing profession.

Elective courses offer  internship possibilities to expand your professional experience and network. The program culminates in a capstone experience, where you’ll work with real-world clients to solve marketing challenges and present strategic recommendations. By graduation, you’ll leave with a portfolio of client work and sought-after skills across traditional and digital marketing, and you’ll have the confidence to lead teams, shape brands, and create meaningful impact across industries.
