As a History minor in the Marlboro Institute for Liberal Arts and Interdisciplinary Studies, you will explore themes including the construction of historical accounts, the role of culture and memory as historical evidence, and the value of history in communication and arts careers and everyday life. You will have the opportunity to examine how the documenting and “telling” of history largely affects what is presented as socially, culturally, and politically possible.

To complete this minor, you’ll take one core course and choose three electives from a range of topics, such as Medieval Cultures, Social Movements in the U.S., and The United States and Latin America.
